Yan Huang was born in Guangdong province, China. She received her BA from Shenzhen Normal University, Master of Fine arts from Capital Normal University in Beijing. Yan immigrated to the United States in 1999 and has been living in the suburban Philadelphia for more than twenty years. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, gardening, listening to Canto pop and traveling.
