The University of Pennsylvania is holding its second ever annual diversity preview weekend in Fall 2022. DivE In stands for the Diversity and Engagement Initiative.

Our Aims

The University of Pennsylvania’s MindCORE DivE In has three major aims.

1. Improve diversity in the fields that are related to the study of the mind.
2. Improve diversity in the graduate body of Penn mindCORE-affiliated departments.
3. Fill in the gaps in mentorship that URM students are more likely to face.

Our Values

2. Equity of opportunity, resources, & information.
3. Empowerment to make one’s own decisions.

5. All can enter & thrive in academia.

About the Event

During an extended weekend in Fall 2022 small group of URM students (primarily juniors and seniors) will have an opportunity to:

1. Participate in small group workshops to improve their applications.
2. Participate in professional development seminars.
3. Participate in practice interviews with faculty members relevant to their research interests.
4. Get to know graduate students and learn more about being in graduate school.

All transportation and living costs are covered by the program for students who have the opportunity to attend in person.
