11/18: Penn Center for the Study of Contemporary China and NYU Shanghai Center for Applied Social and Economic Research to convene events on inequalities and child development in China

Penn CSCC-NYU Shanghai CASER Workshop on Inequalities and Child Development

The Center for the Study of Contemporary China at the University of Pennsylvania and the Center for Applied Social and Economic Research at NYU Shanghai will host a dual-site workshop on inequalities in child development in China on November 18th and November 19.

The Penn CSCC-NYU Shanghai CASER Workshop on Inequalities and Child Development will feature scholars teleconferencing from institutions around the world to share their findings on various aspects of child development in Chinese societies.

The Penn-hosted portion of the workshop will be convened on November 18th and is open to the Penn community to participate in person.

CSCC Policy Roundtable: Current Issues in Children’s Development, Education, and Welfare in China 

Following the workshop, CSCC will convene an on-site roundtable for an open discussion of pressing issues facing children in China today in the domains of physical and psychosocial development, education, and welfare.
