STUDENT FELLOWS 2024-2025

Louis Dong

Louis Dong is a senior at the University of Pennsylvania studying political science with a concentration in international relations. He has conducted research at Penn and at the University of Minho Law School in Portugal on Taiwanese constitutional law and China’s approach to cybersecurity. On campus, he is an active member of the Penn Symphony Orchestra and the Asian American Studies Undergraduate Advisory Board.

Blake Kravitz

Blake Kravitz is a senior in the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania, studying towards joint degrees in economics from the Wharton School and in international studies from the College of Arts and Sciences. He is also pursuing a minor in East Asian languages and civilizations with a concentration in Chinese studies. He has interned at the American Foreign Policy Council, Trivium China, the American Enterprise Institute, and the Foreign Policy Research Institute, researching Indo-Pacific policy, U.S.-China economic relations, and emerging technologies. Blake has spent three summers studying in China, most recently in the Princeton-in-Beijing language program.

Jiayi Li

Jiayi Li is a senior at the University of Pennsylvania double majoring in intellectual history and economics. Originally from Beijing, China, he has studied in the United States for the past seven years, from high school in Chattanooga, Tennessee to college at Penn. His interest in U.S.-China relations particularly focuses on the subject of educational exchange, both past and present. In his free time, Jiayi enjoys playing the trombone with the Penn Band.

Anastasia Russell

Anastasia Russell is a senior at the University of Pennsylvania studying international relations and communications, and minoring in history. She is originally from Boise, Idaho and competes for Penn’s cross country and track teams. Her interest in U.S.-China relations is rooted in her broader passion for international affairs. Whether filming a documentary in Kenya, studying language in Spain, or teaching special education in Hong Kong, her experiences as a Penn student have shaped her commitment to engaging and learning from diverse cultures and societies around the world.

Hannah Tsai

Hannah Tsai is a senior at the University of Pennsylvania double majoring in international relations and East Asian studies. Outside of class, she mentors first-year students as a Resident Advisor at Lauder College House and performs with the Penn Symphony Orchestra. An avid language learner who speaks six languages, Hannah has been a recipient of the U.S. State Department’s National Security Language Initiative for Youth Scholarship (2019) and Critical Language Scholarship (2024). Her interest in China policy especially focuses on topics related to cross-strait relations and the broader implications of these rising tensions for the East Asia region.

Tommy Zeng

Tommy Zeng is a senior at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing a BA in political science and a certificate in law. Originally from Shenzhen, China, he has studied in the United States for the past six years, including high school in Portland, Oregon. His academic interests revolve around international law and U.S.-China relations. He is currently writing an honors thesis on U.S.-China climate cooperation in the twenty-first century. At Penn, he is a research assistant to Professors William Burke-White and Jacques deLisle at the Law School. He is also active in the Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships, Phi Alpha Delta pre-law society, and the Transfer Student Organization.
