Sara King – Director of Sustainability & Project Management, School of Arts & Sciences

Sara is the Director of Sustainability & Project Management for the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts & Sciences. She holds a B.S. in interior design from Drexel University and has more than 10 years of experience in the Philadelphia Design & Construction Industry. She added Environmental Sustainability to her job role when the University began drafting the first Climate Action Plan in 2007, and in 2011 she earned a Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies from Penn. Among other roles, she is the co-chair of Penn’s Solid Waste Management Committee, spearheads the School of Arts & Sciences Sustainability initiatives, and manages a multi-million dollar renovation portfolio. In her spare time she enjoys gardening and cooking, hanging with her cats, and being on the water with her husband.

Brittany Gross – Project Manager and Sustainability Coordinator, School of Arts & Sciences

Brittany Gross is a Project Manager and Sustainability Coordinator for the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts and Science. Brittany graduated from Drexel University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and Sustainability, and earned a Master of Environmental Studies (MES) degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2017. Brittany began working at the University of Pennsylvania in 2011 as a Sustainability Assistant for the School of Arts and Sciences, where she helped to develop sustainable design standards, track energy and recycling metrics and coordinate sustainability related events. Along with her current role as the School’s Sustainability Coordinator, Brittany manages large design and construction renovations including wet and dry laboratories, lounges and offices as the School’s Project Manager. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys cooking, traveling, and being active.

Isobel Lingenfelter – Sustainability Assistant, School of Arts & Sciences

Isobel Lingenfelter is the Sustainability Assistant for the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts & Sciences. She holds a B.S. in Urban Ecology from the University of Utah and is a candidate for a Master of City & Regional Planning (MCP) at the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in land use & environmental planning. Isobel began working at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018 as the Sustainability Assistant for the School of Arts and Sciences, where she is helping create sustainability standards for the materials library. In addition, she helps with create sustainability reports and event marketing materials. In her spare time she likes to go to local jazz and electronica concerts, cook, and play board games with friends.
