David Mulder is a PhD candidate in the History of Art at the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on the art of ancient Mesopotamia, with particular interests in Early Dynastic seals and sealings and in terracotta figurines and mold-made plaques of the third through second millennia BCE. Among his current projects is the preparation for final publication of the glyptic corpus from Area C at Lagash, which was excavated during the 1970-1971 season.
