| KORN 0800 (Advanced Korean II) is a sequel to KORN0700 (Advanced Korean I) that focuses on further developing language skills and intercultural competence at the advanced level, so that students can communicate in a clearly participatory manner regarding various topics of personal and general interests. This course also aims to develop an in-depth understanding of Korean culture and society through the analysis of spoken and written Korean discourse. Students will engage in various task-based activities to expand lexical repertoire, refine grammar, and develop appropriate and effective interactional skills in Korean. Students’ active engagement in learning through presentations and projects will constitute a crucial part of the course. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to reach the Advanced Low/Mid-level of proficiency based on the ACTFL American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) proficiency scale. |
