Broadway Video is a global entertainment and media company founded by Lorne Michaels. Launched in 1979, Broadway Video has grown into an independent studio that produces and distributes original comedic content for every platform. Best known for Saturday Night Live, Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Portlandia, 30 Rock, The Awesomes, and Late Night with Seth Meyers Broadway Video is comprised of Television, Film, Enterprises, Ventures, Post Production, and Above Average Divisions.

The RealArts@Penn intern at Broadway Video will be equired to sign a confidentiality agreement stating that you agree to keep internal information confidential and act in a professional manner. You cannot post, blog, or otherwise make public any private information during or after your internship with Broadway Video. Television and Film Intern

What to expect

The Television and Film division of Broadway Video is set in Los Angeles office in the heart of Beverly Hills. LA office helps oversee the company’s development and production deals with NBC Universal and Paramount Pictures. This department of Broadway Video has built a diverse slate of upcoming series, pilots, and feature films for NBC, Fox, FX, IFC, Hulu, HBO, and Paramount Pictures.

Possible Tasks:

Interns for TV & Film are expected to have a brief knowledge of scripted television and feature film. The interns will work closely with the producers and assistants, to grasp a better knowledge of how an international studio such as Broadway Video operates. Tasks range from script coverage, assembling writer’s rooms, and other basic office managerial tasks.

Who We are Looking For

Basic qualifications for prospective interns in the Television & Film department include:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited educational institution
  • Interns must have an interest in television and film development.
  • Interns must be available to work at least 24 hours per week. Typical business hours are 9AM to 5PM.

Business and Legal Affairs Intern

What to expect

Business and Legal Affairs is the division of Broadway Video, working across all divisions of the company to address legal and business issues. From working with talent agents, to dealing with intellectual property, copyright and television licensing issues, our legal team is hands on with every aspect of our company.

 

Possible Tasks:

Our BLA interns are expected to have a knowledge and desire to work in entertainment business and/or law. The interns will work closely with our team by helping with various tasks, including updating and maintaining the document database, assist with organization of files, and assist with any special projects as designated.

Who We are Looking For

Basic qualifications for Business and Legal affairs internship program include:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited educational institution
  • Previous experience in the entertainment industry is required.
  • Interns must be available to work 24 to 32 hours per week. Typical business hours are 9AM to 5PM.
