Mitchell is a first-year undergraduate student at Temple University pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was named a Presidential Scholar and began research with the REN Research Group in Temple’s Material Institute. He has worked with the mechanical properties of polymers, such as Kevlar® 29 and UHMWPE, as well as the synthesis of magnetic nanoparticles. Mitchell is a visiting researcher with research interest in polymer sciences from synthesis to characterization of polymers.
