सहारा समूह
परिचय
सहारा इण्डिया परिवार भारत की बहु-व्यावसायिक कंपनी है। इसका कार्य अनेक क्षेत्रों में फैला हुआ है – वित्तीय सेवाएं, गृहनिर्माण वित्त, हाउसिंग फांइनेंस, म्युचल फंड, जीवन बीमा, नगर विकास, रीयल-इस्टेट, अखबार एवं टेलीविज़न, फ़िल्म-निर्माण, खेल, सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी, स्वास्थ्य,पर्यटन आदि। सहारा समूह के संस्थापक सुब्रत रॉय है, जिन्होंने 1975 में सहारा इण्डिया परिवार की गोरखपुर में नींव रखी, और तब से लगातार यह समूह उपभोक्ताओं को निरतंर अपनी सेवाएँ प्रदान कर रहा है।
प्रगति-पथ
1978 में शुरू हुए इस व्यवसाय में मात्र 2000 रुपये का निवेश था जो प्रगति की लंबी यात्रा करके वर्तमान में 50 हजार करोड़ रुपये से अधिक का आकार ले चुका है। सहारा समूह के अध्यक्ष ’सहारा श्री’ सुब्रत रॉय का कहना है “मैं वर्तमान में जीने वाला आदमी हूँ और कोशिश करता हूँ कि वर्तमान में जो भी कर रहा हूँ उसमें कोई भूल न हो। वर्तमान अगर सही रहेगा तो आने वाला भविष्य भी अच्छा रहेगा।“
व्यापार
रियल स्टेट सहारा की अचल संपत्ति परियोजना के तहत “सहारा सिटी होम्स” शृंखला का विस्तार भारत के 217 शहरों में प्रस्तावित है। कोच्चि में 2011 में सहारा ग्रेस ब्रांड के नाम से आवासीय परिसर का शुभारंभ हुआ। सहारा ग्रेस के बाद गुड़गाँव और लखनऊ कोच्चि परियोजना का अगला चरण है, जो अपने निवासियों के लिए अपार्टमेंट और पैंटहाउस के उत्पाद मिश्रण को उपलब्ध कराने के लिए कार्यरत है। मीडिया के क्षेत्र में राष्ट्रीय हिन्दी समाचार चैनल सहारा समय ने 36 शहरों के प्रमुख चैनलों पर एकाधिकार कर रखा है। पत्रिकाओं के क्षेत्र में अंग्रेजी में एक राष्ट्रीय साप्ताहिक पत्रिका हिन्दी दैनिक समाचारपत्र राष्ट्रीय सहारा के 7 संस्करण, दैनिक उर्दू समाचारपत्र रोज़नामा, राष्ट्रीय सहारा आदि उल्लेखनीय हैं।
20 सितंबर 1991 को सहारा एयरलांइस का आरंभ हुआ। 3 दिसंबर 1993 को सहारा एयरलांइस के रूप में दो बोंइग 737 के 200 विमानों के साथ परिचालन शुरू हुआ।
लाभ वितरण
पिछले 33 सालों में कंपनी ने अतिरिक्त लाभ का वितरण किसी के साथ नहीं किया है। वास्तव में इस लाभ का 40 प्रतिशत अपने “कर्तव्ययोगी” कर्मचारियों को वितरित करते हैं । 25 प्रतिशत सामाजिक परियोजना के कार्यों के रूप में वितरित किया जाता है और 35 प्रतिशत कंपनी के शुद्ध स्ववित्त कोष में जमा किया जाता है।
सहारा और सुब्रत राय कानूनी पकड़ में
सहारा की एक गृह-निर्माण योजना में एकत्रित 25000 करोड़ रुपए ग़ैर-कानूनी करार दिए जाने पर निवेशकों की निवेश पूंजी वापस न करने के परिणामस्वरूप फ़रवरी 2014 में सुब्रत राय जेल भेज दिए गए। यह भ्रष्टाचार का एक बहुत बड़ा मुकदमा था।
उपसंहार
सहारा परिवार ने अपनी दूरदृष्टि को पूरा करने का निरंतर प्रयास किया है, जिसमें उन्होंने सफल होकर भी दिखाया है। वास्तव में सहारा ने एक परिवार की तरह न सिर्फ अपने साथी कर्मचारियों के साथ परिवार के सदस्यों की तरह व्यवहार किया है वरन अपने उपभोक्ताओं को विशिष्ट सुविधाएँ प्रदान करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है। यही कारण है कि 75 से आज तक सहारा ने निरंतर सफलता पाई है और आज के उद्यमियों के लिए वह कई मायनों में प्रेरणास्रोत के रूप में उभर के सामने आया है।

Linguistic and Cultural Notes
1. Hindi borrowed five sounds from Perso-Arabic sources and these sounds are क़, ख़, ग़, ज़, फ़. Out of these, first one did not materialize in any significant way as the pronunciation of क़ was not easy to distinguish from क in speech even though some people used क़ in writing?? (Arabs seem to have no difficulty distinguishing these two sounds) The second and third sounds ख़, ग़ are part of urban speech to some extent as some people are able to distinguish ख़, ग़ from ख, ग. The last two sounds, represented by letters ज़ and फ़ were reinforced by English z and f during the British presence in India, and these two sounds have become significant enough to be social markers. Even when not written with a dot below, their pronunciation of z and f is generally considered more elegant.
