Japanese Proficiency Tests
1. JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test)
Why taking JLPT?
JLPT certificates offer various advantages, ranging from recognition as academic credit and graduation certification at schools to preferential treatment at companies and acknowledgment of qualification in society.
If you are interested taking N1 or N2, we offer JPAN 481 as a preparatory course.
2. NJE (National Japanese Exam)
National Japanese Exam (NJE), developed by American Association of Teachers of Japanese. NJE is an online, proficiency-oriented, standards-based and culture-related assessment tool for students learning Japanese including college level.
If you take Japanese courses (Beginning Japanese II and Beginning Japanese IV) in the spring semester, we offer students to take NJE at UPenn campus. The NJE at Upenn in Spring 2018 is tentatively scheduled in April.
