Where else but in one of Janet’s classes can you use pen and paper (or Microsoft Word and a laptop) to transport yourself to a bar where you’re sitting and chatting with the god Zeus, the Titan Prometheus, the Ancient Greek poet Hesiod, the business magnate Bill Gates, and the organizational storyteller Yiannis Gabriel? We talked about Prometheus and his myth, how the myth reflects the ideologies and society of Ancient Greece when it was written, and how that might apply to modern day businesses and organizations, as well as our society.
We eventually wound up talking about some movies, how Prometheus myth can be seen in them as well, how all of these things resonate with modern society, and how that myth might be rewritten in our future.
